Carlton V Collingwood With all the hype and publicity around, it was no wonder that punters rallied behind the Blues. opening the market at $2.10 the "Blues" it was not long to find our clients wanting to invest, with bets of $6000 @ $2.10 followed up with a $5000 bet @ +6.5. Just an update on 2002 Brownlow Medal. Its always been surprising how our clients have warmed to betting on the Brownlow Medal, a check of our records showed that we wrote our first bet on this years Brownlow on 13/12/01. Our clients have taken some very good prices some quality players. They have also taken a few surprising selections. At this stage of the year, B Ottens is our worst result, with bets of $400 @ $51.00.Yes $51.00!!! Another punter thought the $41.00 was too good to be true so claimed us for a $450 wager. We have laid a few bets down to the $21.00 mark. Unluckily for one Tigers fan he backed the wrong "tall forward" and claimed our office for a bet on "Richo" of $400 @ $67.00. One local client thinks that the medal will go to an interstate club and placed $400 on J Francou @ $51.00 (lucky no suspension Rnd 1) and also took S Black @ $51.00 for a $500 bet. M O'Loughlin has his fans to win the coverted award, with bets of $300 @ $71.00 placed before the season started, an another bet of $250 @ $81.00 placed after round 1. Last years runners up A McLeod attracted a bet of $3000 @ $14.00, with his teammate N Stevens having $200 placed on him @ $101.00. A Saints fan thinks R Harvey can win 3 medals and backed him for a $50000 result @ $51.00. Essendon players J Johnson $400 @ $51.00, M Mercuri $200 @ $101.00 and J Hird $300 @ $31.00 have given our office something to watch in the coming weeks. Home town support from Warrnambool came in the form of a $1000 wager on J Brown @ $81.00. With the Demons off to a great start this year one of our clients was happy to take a bet to win $20000 on J White @ $61.00. But there were a few surprised looks around the office when we were asked what price C Judd of the West Coast was and the punter was too happy to snap up the odds of $501.00. Then later in the week we set a Magpie fan looking for N Davis to win the Medal at the odds of $201.00. So if your looking for the good early odds your fancy call our office for the best prices.
