Gossip
Essendon V Kangaroos The Roo's proved again that they are a tough outfit at the MCG under lights. Money came all week for the Roos and as the dark clouds loomed over Melbourne on Friday, anyone and everyone came for the Roos. We kept winding them in but we simply couldn't find a bet for the bombers. Bigger Bets Geelong V Melbourne The Cats once again showed that they are not the duds that many smart pundits thought at the start of the season. Money came for both sides as many punters realized the importance of the game for both clubs. Bigger Bets Richmond V Bulldogs The Bulldogs are going well and the Tigers aren't. Punting didn't reflect the statistics with many believing the Tigers at the MCG represented great value. Bulldogs also had their fans as we created a good book and layed both sides. Bigger Bets Collingwood V Sydney All the smart money came late in the week for the Pies. Even the big Sydney pro's came for the Pies which broke a long tradition. The little punters were happy to take the start and the other big winners were the multi players who always like to take the "on paper moral". Bigger Bets Adelaide V Brisbane Multi punters got slaughtered on this game as the smarties lined up for the big price on the home team. Adelaide just too smart for a disappointing Lions as another top 4 chance emerged. Bigger Bets Hawthorn V Port Adelaide Form suggested that this would be a close game and we struggled to write any tickets of any interest. We couldn't get any action until the Sunday "lounge lizards" supported both sides. The betting (like the game itself) failed to deliver anything of note. Bigger Bets St Kilda V West Coast This was another very quite game for us here at Global. Smarter punters tended to like the West Coast Eagles as the Victorians stayed faithful and dabbled at the Saints both and the line and straight out. Fremantle V Carlton A mountain of multiples rode Freo in their final leg. Money came flooding in, however, for the Blues with the prospect of rain and a good WA record. Which left us dodging the small Freo victory. Bigger Bets Good Health and Good Punting.
