WCUP Semi Finals

Germany v South Korea

The South Koreans have been a breath of fresh air in the tournament to date. Will they take the scalp of Germany to book their place in the Final?

Gus Hiddink is nearing deity status in South Korea after helping guide the co-hosts through to the Semis. The Koreans are growing in confidence with every game and having knocked out Italy and then Spain to reach this stage they won't be fearful of facing the Germans. Hiddink will have his own personal reasons for wanting to take them through to the Yokohama final. He was the mastermind behind Holland's passage to the Semis in France, four years ago, only to see them knocked out by Brazil on penalties. Being underestimated before the start of the tournament also looks to have played into Germany's hands. They have been lucky in terms of the draw, but no game is a walkover when you get to the knockout stages, and while other more fancied sides have fallen by the wayside Rudi Voller's men have stood firm. The Koreans have already rewritten the record books, by becoming the first Asian side to reach the World Cup Semi-Final stage, can they go even further?

Match Betting: Germany 11/10 South Korea 9/4 Draw 2/1 (90 mins only) (Betting updated IN-RUNNING)

Who Will Progress to the final? Germany 4/7 South Korea 5/4

Brazil v Turkey

For the second time this tournament, Brazil take-on Turkey. This time, however, a place in the World Cup final is at stake.

Despite being harshly sent off midway through the second half of Brazil's quarter-final match with England, Ronaldinho was on the pitch long enough to orchestrate a 2-1 victory. Creator of Brazil's equaliser on the stroke of half-time, he then scored a freakish free-kick to leave David Seaman, and England's World Cup dreams, in pieces. It was a result they deserved, unlike the red card dispatched to the PSG player for a foul on Danny Mills, and the manner of their performance suggests they should be able to overcome Turkey without the controversy of their opening game. Turkey, however, are unlikley to view defeat as inevitable and Rivaldo's antics in that Group match could motivate Senol Gunes' side even further. This competition has already produced numerous shocks. Another one is not out of the question.....

Match Betting: Brazil 4/9 Turkey 13/2 Draw 12/5 (90 mins only) (Betting updated IN-RUNNING)

Who Will Progress to the final? Brazil 1/4 Turkey 11/4
