Bobby's Bets
With victory in the Bay Hill Invitational last week, Tiger Woods shot up nine places on the US Tour Money List to claim the number one spot. Despite playing below his usual high standards this season, it came as no surprise that he rediscovered his touch in Florida as he has made the event his own in recent years. Victory last week was Tiger's third consecutive Bay Hill triumph. The Florida wins in 2000 and 2001 proved to be great preparation for his Sawgrass campaigns, as he finished second in The Players Championship in 2000 and then went one better last year. However if the American superstar is to be champion once again he is going to have to break a record….as no player has successfully defended their Players Championship crown. Many believe that Tiger's Bay Hill victory is an ominous sign for the other Sawgrass competitors. After failing to hit the high notes this year, the Florida win may just be the kick start that Woods needed. He is 11/4 to defend his Sawgrass crown. Of the European contingent, Jose Maria Olazabal (33/1), may have the best chance. The Spaniard may not be a course specialist, but he is having a phenomenal season and has finished in the top ten in his last five PGA Tour starts. ** A large selection of markets are available including….
