AFL Week 6

St Kilda V Collingwood

The only flood here was the "flood" of money for the "Woods". Opening the line at 33.5 saw some clients claim us for bets of $5000/ $5500 & $3000/$3300. After moving the line to -35.5, another client from overseas placed a bet of $5000 on the Woods, for a collect of $9500. Only concern for magpie supporters (and Brownlow watcher) during game was the report of Buckley. St Kilda firming to sort price favourite for the Wooden Spoon. One of our clients happy to place $3000 on the "Pies"@ $1.16 to pick up his supper bill at Vlados after the game. Support from Saints fans with bets of $8000 @ $5.50 and some bets betweens $1500 and $2000 @ $5.25 not really raising punters hopes.

Bigger Bets

Collingwood -33.5 @ $1.90 $5500
Collingwood -35.5 @ $1.90 $5000
Collingwood @ $1.16 $3000
St Kilda $8000 @ $5.50
St Kilda $1500 @ $5.25 twice

Kangaroos V Hawthorn

Punters right on the job here with all the money for the Hawks. After opening the market at $1.70 and $2.20. First call to the office was from interstate, with our client looking to have his $6000 investment on the Hawks @ -10.5 $1.90. Looked very safe after the Hawks came out running. Our last bet before the ball was bounced in this game was$3000 @ $1.62. Index punter happy here with a $100 a point wager on the Hawks @ minus 14 points. One happy Hawk punter after having a $5250 bet on Half Time Full Time Double picking up return of over $10000

Bigger Bets

Hawks $6000 -10.5 @ $1.90
Hawks $3000 @ $1.62
Hawks index -14 points $100 a point
Hawks Half time Full Time double $5000/ $5250

Fremantle V Essendon

It looks like it going to be a very hard road trip to the West this year. Travelling teams are not having an easy task of it. Has not been a victory yet. This fact did not stop Essendon punters from stepping in here. Betting at the breaks very popular in this game. Another Brownlow favourite goes under with a very bad injury to Hird. Hope some of you took our tip last week (about Home sides against interstate teams) best price was $3.70 Freo. Only result for the office this week!! So far!!

Bigger Bets

Essendon -23.5 $6000/$6600
Essendon $11500 @ $1.30
Half Time Betting Essendon $2000/ $4000
Half Time Betting Essendon $3000/ $6000
Half Time Betting Fremantle$2025/ $1500

Brisbane V Geelong

Nothing changed here. Brisbane average winning margin over 50 points at home.
Some clients getting reports that game would be played in bad conditions happy to place their investment on Geelong with 36.5 points start. Other punters just happy enough to place wagers on Brisbane straight out. Will they lose a game at home this year????

Bigger Bets

Brisbane $10000 @ $1.16
Brisbane $5000 @ $1.16
Geelong +36.5 $7700 @ $1.90
Geelong +36.5 $6600 @ $1.90

Carlton V Bulldogs

Bulldogs opening price @$1.65 into $1.45 at game time. Large percentage of multies left after Essendon's defeat end with the Bulldogs. Payout for the office of over $40000. (Could have been worse) Readers of Global Gossip should have plenty this week with Freo & Bulldogs both winning. ( See last weeks remarks) Is that the Blues we see sitting at the bottom of the ladder???? Some punters happy, after our office laid bets at the seemingly good price of $8.50 for the Blues to claim the "Spoon"

Bigger Bets

Dogs $5000 @ $1.65
Dogs $5000 @ -15.5 @ $1.90
Dogs-15.5 & Brisbane -36.5 $2000 @ $3.61
Dogs @ $1.50 & Brisbane -36.5 $3000 @ $2.85

Sydney V Melbourne

Spirited betting game with punters keen to jump on both sides. Early in the week all the money was for the Swans but Sunday morning saw a charge for the $2.10 being offered for the Demons. From a punting perspective the game kicked off on a very close keel with Global offering $2.00 for the Demons and $1.85 for the Swans.

Bigger Bets

Swans $10 000 @ $1.85
Swans $6 500 @$1.85
Melbourne $10 000 $2.05

Richmond V Adelaide

Again there were no clear choices in this game. Many interstate punters were happy to take the black figures offered on Adelaide while the locals kept coming for the Tigers. Richmond were involved in most of the multiple plays. No large bets were taken on this hard to call game.

Port Adelaide V West Coast

We thought that the Coast might have come in for some support after last weeks heroics against the Premiers. The smart money, however, remained on the Power at home. Port anchored nearly every multiple ticket we wrote. There were many punters who came with a late surge for the West Coast at $4.00 but the bulk of the money was for the Power straight out and at the minus.

Bigger Bets

Port -24.5 $4400 @ $1.90.

Good Health and Good Punting.
