Gossip
Port Adelaide V Collingwood Two pretty good teams went around on Friday night. Port had a mountain of support and were quickly backed early in the week from $1.50 and would start the game as short as $1.40. The pies had their supporters as well with solid betting at the price and at the start. Bigger Bets Geelong V Western Bulldogs Geelong at home, Bulldogs can't even kick straight, let alone win. Well the punters were just too smart here with every man backing his Dogs. The sport bookmaking fraternity were all booking European vacations as the Cats charged to a 40 point lead mid way through the second quarter…but…..alas….those Cats!!! Bigger Bets Melbourne V Kangaroos Smart punters got burned as the popular masses cashed in, or did I get that the wrong??? Money came all week for the Demons even after a most impressive performance by the Roo's the week before. Big money did come late for the Roo's but Saturday multi punters got off to a good start with the very popular Melbourne/Bulldogs double. Bigger Bets St Kilda V Richmond It appeared that the dark clouds had lifted from over Tigerland with two good wins on the trot. The only problem was that no one told the Saints. We took the good with the bad. The Tigers left multi punters crying but the smarties took the "Young Guns" both straight out and at the very generous +32.5. Bigger Bets Swans V Essendon On paper Sydney didn't have a show. No Dunkley or Kelly and no return of the "Prodigal Plugger" suggested that the bombers would be far too good for the Swans. Punters took Essendon in all the multiples but money came for the Swans at both the line and the juicy $3.25 straight out. Rocket Eade moved one step closer to a heart attack as did the Swan's punting faithful. Bigger Bets Brisbane V Fremantle How often would you be betting $1.08 for a last start loser against a team who had a good win the week before. Not only that, we had punters happy to bet Brisbane at this price. Brisbane 40+ @$1.70 was also a popular bet. The line at 44.5 appeared too good to pass up with a flood of late money being put on the visitors with the plus. Bigger Bets Carlton V Adelaide Constant money came for the Blues all week. They were strongly bet straight out and with the 10.5 start and still attracted support as the line came into 8.5. There was no huge betting in this game as the pro punters struggles to weigh up the Optus Oval advantage with the form guide. West Coast V Hawthorn West Coast at home versus the "flying" Hawks. Everyone saw this as the toughie of the round. Opinions flowed thick and fast, but we all know what we can do with these. This game was a true pick and the betting reflected that through out the week. Bigger Bets Good Health and Good Punting.
