The greatest football extravaganza on the planet is almost upon us. Sweden, who were unbeaten in qualifying with an impressive record of eight wins and two draws from ten starts, will go to the Finals in good heart and won't be pushovers. Pele once famously stated that an African nation would lift the Jules Rimet trophy before the curtain fell on the 20th Century. The Brazilian legend may have got his timing wrong, but the African nations can cause a shock or two and England cannot afford to let their concentration slip when they meet the Nigerians in Osaka.
